Hi guys,

To prove my work experience i'm gonna get service letters from my current and previous employers and what are u gonna tell ur present employer that u wanna use the letter for. I already have my appointment letters. normally, employement letter+ payslips and confirmation of appointment letter will do. if u think ur job will not be at stake if ur employer knws u plan to leave them, u can go ahead and gt it. but if it will, just attache ur payslip to the employement letter and u are ok

1. Do I need to provide any other documents with these?
2. What are the info that should be specified in the service letters?
3. Is it fine if my previous employers service letter is dated to the current date? it depends on the wordings and the tenses used in the letter. but any ( either backdated/current dated) will do. the only diference will be just that if the letter is currently dated, then it should as a matter of necessity be addressed to ur BIQ-office. but if back-dated, let it just reflect a general outlook in such a way that it can be used for other formal things

I'm gonna tell my current employer that it is to get a bank loan. So in it I can ask them to include my designation, my salary and how long I've been working there, but does it also need to contain my duties? I also have the pay slips but they are just computer printouts, will they be legitimate?

And I'll keep your advice on mind for the previous employer.

Here is my qualification:

My age: 32
Education: Masters in Computer Science from Concordia University, Bachelors in Computer Science from Bangladesh.
Work Exp.: 2 years of work experience as a software programmer in Montreal. Currently working in a software company in Montreal.
French language knowledge: nil (currently taking level 1 french course in dawson)
Stay in Quebec: last 5 years.

Spouse Age: 27
Education: Currently doing masters in economics from Simon Frasier University, Vancouver.
French language knowledge : DELF A1.
stay in Quebec: nil

Do i get priority treatment because i am in Montreal or because of my masters education in Montreal? And will i get call for an interview if i show a certificate from dawson college that i did level 1 french?

And will i get call for an interview if i show a certificate from dawson college that i did level 1 french? wheter or not u will be called for interview depends first of all on whether u av the required point for an interview waiver or not b4 the issue of french attestaion comes in. but clearly, ur showing a french result from dalson does not mean u will be authomatically waived. ur stay in quebec will only ftech u additional point

I am wondering if my masters program in Computer Science (which i have completed from Quebec within the last 5 years) falls into the same category.

Yes as per me you comes under priority and your area of trainging comes under section B where u will get  12 points.

Hi Respect,
i am at the same situation as yours. only difference is that I am staying in Montreal from the past 18 months only and not studied here.. I applied for CSQ in Nov 2010 and got it with in 5 months.  Even though I do not know french I was called for interview for few queries. after 40 min interview with me my wife she granted the CSQ and said it is priority processing. Even the CSQ got the sentence "Priority Processing". I thought it would be processed on a priority basis...But it is Big No. once you apply for federal you have no control. its been more than 5 months...and my status stays at "application received".
to get a CSQ with in less time, i suggest you go in person to submit the application and also if possible get a letter from your current employer that they will continue to keep you in job once you get a PR. these will get you more weight-age while CSQ processing.

Thanks everyone for clearing that out. I was confused since the list only mentions 3-years bachelor degree in computer science and nothing about masters degree in computer science.. i was guessing if they treat bachelors degree as priority they should treat masters degree the same way. good to know anyways.

your degree is higher then bach and they want bach, thats why u will get priority

hii everyone
can anyone help me im so worried about my wifes visa its been 11 months and still no answer,medical exams has expired in septmeber 2011 and i went twice to damascus 1sr time b4 the medical expired and they told me they gonna call me soon and may be she is going to redo the tests.seccond time i went their after the medical expired they told me that it will take its time maybe till november,in the first of october i emailed them,2 days ago they replied as your file is on queue for review by responsible officer .if decsion is made or we require any document we will contact you.the question do i have to redo the medicals even if its expired 1month ago?does it happened once?and if i have to redo they are supposed to call me before it ends rite?plzzz im so worried and i neeed help thanks in advance
