Dear All,
I am also waiting like you for any reply from Immigration office.
There are many decisions are in pending and most of the time I am not sure to do something or wait for final immigration decision. How are you handling this situation?

I feel Canadian industry is not growing well as everywhere we can see 'Made in China'. Canada needs people those can immediately support Canada or Canada financial institutions. Leadership problem is now a days is a major problem everywhere. See the difference, before Canada was calling people to support their economy and now they are not calling people because of economy. This is the leadership gape!
Everybody must wait not less than 4 to 5 years!

the US is canada's main market and accounts for around 75% of its exports, and the US economy isn't recovering and we can see how they are trying to revive it by the QE's and new government stimulus. but we shouldn't forget that the oil is canada's biggest export and the banking sector is one of the best in the world and the banks are well capitalized and have a strong credit ratings. so all in all the canadian economy is doing good relatively to the other major powerhouses. canada's unemployment rate is 7.3% which is above the normal rate but relatively good to what is going on in the US. anyway i don't want to start an economic debate here but i think they should start giving us our visas especially to those who already have their CSQs , we are sick of waiting! : @ well i actually work in a financial institution (trader/dealer) so let them send me the medical tests today and let's get the show on the road !  4 to 5 years of waiting...?? why i have the feeling that you will not make friends in this specific thread lol |

Hi .. thx all .. really these posts are so useful .. and keeping us updated.
i have applied to CSQ in Feb 2011
the bank confirmed for me that my check have been cashed 2 months ago what means that my application is under processing now .. but still i didnt receive AOR including my file number yet
i tried to contact Damascus Visa Office by sending email .. but still didnt get any reply ..
however, my friend who applied together with me at the same date .. had the same case .. but he got a reply by email .. informing him that his file was already opened .. and they mentioned his file number.
and i need the file number to send my updated frensh level attestation..
anyone have an idea .. can help ..

For all the peeps who are trying to study french on their own; i don't think it will be enough (unless you have tapes with the books), the pronounciation is different from english and you need to have a direct conversation with an experienced francophone person, so it would be better to have a solid base to start from, so i suggest to go and register in a course, there is the CCF in Beirut, it might cost you some money but it is worth it, and after few months if you decide to quit, start practicing at home by reading, watching french movies, or getting a francophone girlfriend  Cheers |
