Dear All,

Though my BIQ is HongKong but I am following this thread regularly. I have got some good news for you guys specially for those applied in August, September 2010 to BIQ Damascus.

Few of my Iranian friends in a Persian forum have written that they are called to Interview for  the month of November 2011 in Istanbul Turkey. Some of them are in Priority list and some of them are Ordinary applicants. They have file numbers of August and September of 2010.

Look we will have 2 missions in Istambul from 7 nov till 16 dec and a third one from 14 nov till 16 dec, so there are 3 officers holding the interviews, which is good, all July-August files Damascus should be called before 16 dec.Good luck guys!!!!

Education: Bachelor's in Computer science , graduated in 2007
Experience: 3 years total experience  (relevant experience)
French: Learning   (beginner level)
English: Good
I don't have any relatives in Canada


Please tell me about the my total points, points for area of training and do I need more points?

I'm from India

I am Male, 25 yrs, Single  16 pct for age
Education: Bachelor's in Computer science , graduated in 2007 10 pct for education
Experience: 3 years total experience  (relevant experience) 6 pct experience
French: Learning   (beginner level) u sholud declare A2 level, this will give u 6 pct
English: Good let's say 4 pct for english
u will get 42 points....1 pct for autonomie financiere...this mean 43 !! which is not good, u'll not pass further for interview..u nees 49 pct minimum.Now i don't know if u get any point at Domaine de formation for Computer Science...if u don't than u need to declare ur french level B2/B2...to give u 12 points.....with 12 points u will get 49 and u'll be called for interview where u can obtain the visa.U have time to learn french....u need 1 year to be called for interview, u can send now the application, saying ur level is B2/B2 and u register immediatly to learn French in CCF.I 1 year u can do it and reach B2 level.Is up to you! Good luck and have faith!

also try to check if u obtain any points for area of Training.

Rubyshanker : Yesssss u also get 6 pct for Domaine de Formation, Computer Science 6 pct...which is great!!!
Now i'll do again ur points :
Education : 6 ( diploma from India gets 6 pct only ) + 6 = 12 pct
Experience: 6 pct
Age : 16 pct
French : B2/B2 which will give u 12 pct
English : 4 pct
Fonds : 1 pct
Now u have 51 points and u'll be called for an interview.During the interview u can obtain 6 more points for adaptability, u need 4 to get ur visa.....so U can do it !!!! Good luck, but still u have to reach a B2 LEVEL in french...

As per my consultant he gave me following points...

Education - 16Pts ( bcoz i did Computer Science engineering and the skill is in demand, also my graduation was completed in 2007)

Experience - 6Pts

Age - 16Pts

Financial Funds - 1Pt

French - 4Pts ( As im a beginner)

English - 6Pts ( as my complete education is in English)

So it sums upto 49 Pts.....


The above Points and reasons are said by my consultant.....can u please review it once again and let me know the truth in the above calculation.

Experience - 6Pts

Age - 16Pts

Financial Funds - 1Pt

French - 4Pts ( As im a beginner) He gave u an A2 level than, i suggest u to mark a B1 for 8 points, so u'll not risk

English - 6Pts ( as my complete education is in English) i will not give u the maximum, only if u have an Ielts with overall band 8 and more

So it sums upto 49 Pts.....

I'm preparing for Quebec and it looks like I would need a B1 in French to have a safe margin of points. Though I started my french classes this week the exam time lines are quite odd. There is one exam on the second week of Nov'11 which is too early for me and the next is only in April'12. Now the question 11.1 on the application asks for the exam results. Should I wait until April, complete my exam and apply or can I apply now and furnish the exam results at a later point in time say during the interview?Please advise.
I do not really want to wait until April'12 just to apply as the Canadian immigration rules are changing really fast these days.

My number is same as yours 354xx.....yes we are next, let's pray, this week or the next we should receive our invitations.....
