Hi Ricoluna,

I have a few more questions for you, please help me with the exact guidelines for the French requirements. My agent says that I need to attend 150 to 200 hrs of classes for just the beginner level. This appears difficult as most of the institutes are completing the beginner course in 30 to 60 hrs. Is the count of hours important?
Second question is that if I do the certification for say intermediate level will they still look for the count of hours in the beginner level ?
The final question is please send me the details of various certification exams. I know that I  am asking too many questions but I have no choice because my consultant has declined to assist me in the Quebec process. Sad

Hello there,
U are not obliged to take any hours, the number of hours does not count, nowhere in ur certificate will appear the number of hours u took
!! U may be french educated and u just wanna to take the exam to prove ur level...so it has nothing to do with the number of hours u studied!! When i begin french courses we were studying daily 2 hours, 5 days per week for 4 weeks, so that means 40 h to finish a level.200 hours u can reach a good level B2 - C1, not to finish a begging level.. i am sure u did not understood well, or he wasn't v clear with u.I advise u to learn alone as much as u can in daily basis , after u go and register in Centre Culturelle Francaise, they will make u a test to see ur level, they will decide which level u'll enter : maybe directly A2...than u take there 1 or 2 sessions and after u make the exam TCF for Quebec ONLY, as i explained before here u have the chance to obtaining different points in Listening and in Expression Oral.
It is not hard, and u have time to prepare....good luck and i am here for any further questions
look i studied in CCF for almost 1 year, i begin with the lowest level A1.1 till end of B1...it tooked me 1 year. When i did TCF Quebec i obtained C1 for understanding and B2 for conversation.....i also studied by myself. So in one year u can reach a vvvv high level.Good luck again

It is clear that we are not, once i reach 22 months with no news i will definitely ask for Application Status, everyone is entitled for that request if the time specified on the CIC time table is exceeded

Of course and definitely I've asked for Application status, but the reply was : my status is under processing and can't to predict how long it will take..

I hope to receive our medicals very soon,

Many thanks for your advise, CAIPS files can normally be obtained in between 5 and 6
weeks, and I'm expecting to have the medical everyday from the last 4 months ,
Anyhow may be I will try it if it's useful,

Thank you
