Quebec 2010 Applicants Damasucs Visa office

Hello Akram, yes  they are still working on application received before July 2010, but they are so lazyy  , i've sent my application in the first week of august, and look nothing till today.I only get my file number, no supplementary requests , nothing.But meanwhile i sent them the original university diploma as well as the grades for all years, prove of French level the TCF, and also some documents that we have relatives in Montreal(my husband's sister).Nothing till now....
and when i think that after we get the CSQ we have to wait minimum one more year for the medicals and visa....
But we can do nothing, hoping, praying, learning and waiting for the interview questions u are going to post ...

In fact I have been waiting longer than you. I have got my AOR back in August 2009 and they have asked for extra documents in December 2010. I am still waiting for my medical forms. It is been a long 23 months only for the Federal part waiting. With this situation in Damascus I am afraid it will take longer, which will cause my CSQ expire

I think they know ur CSQ might expire, so don't wory but have u tried to contact them somehow? maybe the correspondence was lost??

1ere question: comment t'as préparé ton immigration pour le quebec?
2eme: Dans quelle region dans votre pays choisis tu pour y vivre?
la 3eme  c'est a moi de donner des questions dans le but d'avoir des informations, c'est a propos des preparation d'une fete.
4eme et 5eme:je me souviens plus
6eme: Est ce que une societe ideale est définis comme etant une societe sans travail?

10 jours et j'aurais les resultat par poste ou dois-je allé sur place pour avoir mon attestaion?

hello everyone

I thought i would share this little piece of info, i just called in today the canadian embassy in lebanon and the operator confirmed that the embassy in Damascus is still operational as it should, m not sure how accurate this info might be since everything else points that the situation in syria has affected the embassy's activity.

Hi, I'm already still waiting more than 19 monthes after AOR , and up today - no news ,They requested some doc's in March 2011 , but still I didn't receive my medical , I contacted them but no reply till now...
anyone has any information about this situation ,pleeeease update us ...

I just wanted to share a small update on my file. I just received my AOR after exactly 4 months of applying. They sent it by email, and the new address for sending followup documents is Quebec and not Damascus.

I will try to find the phone number for that office just to notify them that m having issues with libanpost, m sure you know how that's like ,
I'd rather have "delay" as the main reason for my overdue medicals than having to track down failed local mail delivery same as how i got my AOR mail last time.

on the other hand if anyone on this thread receives a courier just like Dsader please share the good news and do post the address sent from, that would help everyone to keep track in what is going on since there are no information updates on our files combined

Friends ...

I am sorry for not coming here for a while ... i am badly busy for saving and running my business preparing me for a smooth way of immigration however just as a brief update:

my application  has been received by embassy in 27th February 2011
my file number has been issued by embassy in 4th March 2011
so far the CIC web site shows my status as "APPLICATION RECEIVED" meaning my files are on the desk of the officer in charge and in Que .

and till today I have counted after my federal file number:                 <4 months and 12 days> 

Supposedly my status should be changed to "IN PROCESS" then however god knows how long we should wait for this much of progress?!

also i dont have ideas what are the next steps? what are the procedure they will do in each steps? how long each step should take?

if u know ... please share help me again to just focus on my business again ...

Just called the embassy in Damascus again , the usual phone options have changed, if you press zero which usually patches you to an operator you will instead get a recorded message stating that you should call an office in Ottawa and the number is 0016139968885.
is this a confirmation that the embassy in Damascus is closed?
