Quebec 2010 Applicants Damasucs Visa office

Hello a tous,
i have sent my file on the 15th of December 2010 and i just received the file no. (5 month after)

i didn't send French language certificate with my application. but now i made the DELF exam,  should i send the DELF certificate  or should i keep it with me till the interview? and if i should send it should it be by post or by email and to which address, Damascus office or Montreal?
can any one help

It depends on your delf result...they are interested in oral Comprehension and in Expression orale...what scores have u obtained for thouse 2???If the result is the same u have declared in ur applications when u send it, than u should them them immeddiatly to Montreal office.If they are less than do not send them.Good luck

Yes is normal, and do not forget that now they closed the embassy in Damascus, they will be a little late till they will send the AOR.Do not worry, u have nothing to worry now, just wait and be patient. hey will take around 12 month or even 15 before they send ur request for medicals..Good luck

Thanks for your feedback, I just went to the bank today and made sure that the check was cashed. This is usually good news and it means that the file is in process.

sure it's very normal, it takes in average around 45 days to get AOR and don't forget about the political situation in Syria. so it may takes a longer time.
please share with us your timeline as we are so close in our process...

Hello Guys,
I am a PR in Canada since 2008, I have applied for a sponsoring visa for my wife. She got the CSQ in February 2011. Her file is in Damascus since january 2011.
Any one has an idea how long time it could take more?
Do you know if the office visa in Damascus is still working or they have transfered the files somewhere.? I called to the office 10 days ago, they told me they were working normally.
A last question, in the client  application status , it is still noted  `` Application recieved``. Does it mean that they didnt start to study here file?

After u applied application no2 , the federal part needs between 12 and 18 month to deliver her visa.The office in Damascus is now closed but have no ideea where the federal transfered the files.In my opinion she has to wait around 8 more month to receive the medical requests and after maybe 2-3 more month.Good Luck

Just to clarify one thing. In the case of spouse sponsorship, the medical tests are done at the begening of the application. So there is no medical request.
I hope that the file transference will accelerate the procedure

I just called the immigration center in canada, they told me that the last news from Damascus was that the office is till working

I've applied in August 2010 and no call for interview till today.There is another guy in the forum MEDo..he applied in June 2010 and they have called him for interview in June 2011 but after they closed Damascus office and all the interviews were cancelled.....so we are all waiting from last summer, soon will be a year...If u applied end of the year u should have patience, they are still working with the files received before July 2010.....and we don't know yet the location where the interviews will be held...
