Thank u for your info,i don't know what to think any more, when i last spoke to my lawyer he told me that if they will move they will wanna go out from the middle east, i asked him maybe Dubai, he said noo, i heard they were saying something about Paris.But till now nobody knows.Keep us informed please if u receive a new invitation, mail..etc

Good morning all,
Yesterday at CCF i met a couple they were in Syria yesterday to apply for immigration , they went directly to the Embassy and they told me everything was normal.They were working on normal basis, they even called before they traveled to Syria to ask about the check they should make and from the embassy they told them yess you can come, we are working normally.So they went and there is nothing on the roads, or in Damascus and the embassy is processing normal all the files.
Now i am asking why they Canceled the interview of our friend here medo1921?? Medo maybe u should contact them, ask for the reasons, i don't think is the political situations, as they are processing all normal!!!

they canceled all interview for may of my  friends also
about your question - they sent the invitation to interview before 2 month - in 3 april 2011

AAA there are other friends with cancelled interviews....uff is really strange!!! They are receiving applications .
I am wondering how long we have to wait than to know what's happening???In this case i don't think i will be called soon for an interview , they will call first for those who were cancelled....

yes ... three of my colleagues received a request to postpone the interview to June and then again they received a letter saying their interview is canceled!!!

Good morning guys,
i spoke to my lawyer, he told me that all the interviews that were going to be held in Damascus between 29 mai and 15 July were CANCELLED, due th political situation there, and that were all postponed for an unknown date.They don't know yet if they will relocate , but probably they will , as no one knows how long the country situation will rest like this.
but till now even they don't know where or when they will start having the interviews again.
The lawyer also told me that the federal part is still holding some interviews this days, and that's it.
Another months of stress are waiting us...

Hello Guys,

I sent my documents to attorney for Quebec Skilled Worker Program in Jan'2011.

Attorney sent the documents to Hongkong Office on Feb'04'2011. I got a letter from Government of Quebec on Mar'15'2011 mentioning that they don't recognize my attorney and needs to file for representation as per new policies effective from Feb'02'2011. They also returned my Credit Card payment form as processing payment of $395. This letter had one file number on it, starting with HA.

Then, I sent one representation form to my attorney and they filled for represntation along with $100 as representation fee. He filled for represntation in Apr'2011. Also, he sent the payment for processing again in May'2011.

I havn't heard anything back from anyone yet. Please share your experiances.

I think you should wait for the reply from the BIQ HK , if they don't contact you then e-mail them using their e-mail ID for from their website.

To all who submitted their files at DAMASCUS BIQ, Please find below what I just received from my lawyer:

Cher/e client/e,
La présente est pour vous informer de la fermeture totale du bureau du Québec à Damas. Seuls les candidats qui ont un dossier en attente pour entrevue seront affectés. Cependant, les candidats qui ont soumis avec leur demande le résultat du TEFAQ ou l'équivalent (TEF, DELF, etc.) ont une grande chance (99%) d'être dispensé d'entrevue. Pour cela, j'encourage ceux et celles qui n'ont pas soumis le résultat de l'examen de langue de le faire le plutôt possible. Toute nouvelle demande doit être presenter à Montréal.
Cependant, l'Ambassade du Canada à Damas a publié sur son logiciel le suivant CITONS ...Le gouvernement du Canada recommande d'éviter tout voyage en Syrie vu le caractère imprévisible des conditions entourant la sécurité. Les Canadiens qui se trouvent actuellement en Syrie devraient songer à quitter le pays ... FINCIT. En ce qui concerne le service du bureau des visas à Damas, il est rendu à son plus bas niveau. A noter que, quelques dossiers avec le fédéral ont été transférés à Warsaw sans le déclarer officiellement. Selon mon expérience avec les Ambassades Canadiennes au Moyen Orient, ceci est une indication à la fermeture totale!
Tout ce qui précède ne doit pas vous inquiéter en tant que candidat à l'immigration. Au contraire, vos dossiers seront en sécurité et le traitement prendra en considération cette nouvelle situation.
A cause de ce changement opérationnelle imprévu, j'encourage aussi tout candidat dans la catégorie fédérale des travailleurs qualifiés qui n'a pas fourni un résultat de l'examen de langue (TEFAQ, TEF ou IELTS)  de le faire immédiatement afin d'assurer une approbation de sa demande sans entrevue et sans être obligé à se déplacer.  
Je vous tiendrai au courant de tout ce qui adviendra à votre dossier dès que connu.

Merci Anthony, i just made th TCF quebec 2 weeks ago, in 2 more weeks i will know the result.If is a good one i will send them the results but Where??? Ur lawyer was saying that are to be sent directly to Montreal.What level have u obtained for TCF??? I am last class of B1, B1.3 at CCF, but in DCS i have declared B2.Still waiting for my result
