My friends:

Anyone has an idea how many months does it take to obtain the comparative evaluation for studies done outside Québec (Évaluation comparative des études effectuées hors du Québec)

Please help with this issue.

I am an electrical engineer; and i have a translated and certified copies of the certificate and the marks sheet obtained during the whole study...

Hi
mine took 16 months,

but I think they have link related to our interview date, cause i got it 1 month ago, and you can see our interviews are close

but as you have BE engineering, for sure will be 3+ years no need to worry

I could get more points in english, but you get more points in french

Thats it,

I sent you the link to inbox  Cool

Btw is it better to take the public TCF or the TCFQ?

 @ Ricoluna
I'm french educated and actually i ve been working in a french firm since 2009. Do you think is it necessary to take the TCF? How much does it cost in Lebanon?

Hi Victor, i've just sent my papers for Evaluation Comparative...they received it last week and no sign from them yet. The officer during interview told me will take max 10 month.
Our friend Lemans has waited 16 month...but i think he did not sent all documents and they've asked for supplementary papers.
During the interview i had only my university diploma and grades for 3 years of study and i obtained full points
Good luck

[/quote]Mike if u are good in french the TCF is not obligatory ...but i prefer u take it.U'll be more confident during the interview.
any way if u can share with us ur points..and after u'll decide if u wanna take the test or not.
I mean if ur points are good enough, u can let the officer appreciate ur french points during the interview

well Mike, Ricoluna is right the test is not obligatory but it helps more that you can imagine... My TEFAQ(for me, the easiest) results lead me to be exempted from the interview. If you're intrested I submitted my test at ESA clemanceau, beirut in June 2010, as i remember it costed me arround 150 euros. they will give you results in one week or two as max and they do tests on a monthly basis.

Mike u have good points but i think u definitely must take the test TCF Quebec.U can call CCF Beyrouth.
about ur application if u have declared 12 and 10 in DCS this means level C1/C2 ..U HAVE DECLARED THE maximum!!!! level 10 = C1 and level 12 = C2 ! u'll obtain the maximum of 16 points in french !
U have already declared C1/C2 so i definitely recommend u to take the test and get those results !
Good luck, keep us informed
I am sure u'll easily obtain them in TCF Quebec.

Dear Mike

My experience says they always cont marks on documents you will provide. rememeber even if you are good in french but does not have any proof still he/she give you no points. so my friend always calculate your points based on documents so ultimately french exams is must

if you are beyond 55/63 points with french result there will not be any chance for them to refuse

they work on file well before interview and ask you questions where they feel you have deficiencey so do not leave any space for them to go into arguemnt during the interview

to me they asked questions about my french skills since i was at 61 with my A1/A2 result but to ricoluna they asked questions about her degree but not for french

regards
