I have nice news, I've been told that they will be very easy with Lebanese and Syrians Applications cause of the situations,
they have the high priority in Middle East Applicants.

mkshah
Your application will be treated as old rules only.
TEFAQ you will have chance for B1 easier than DelF

Dear lemans,
What is the source of your information please? I don't think they have different criteria for one or two countries. Skilled workers criteria applies for all applicants from all around the world.
I wish what you are saying would be true.

of course is not true, it makes no difference for them if u came for a country with political conflicts! Their aim is to bring best people to their house (Quebec), not to bring people who are running from the bad situation in their home countries.
This is my own opinion.

LEMANS207 with all my respect for your info source...WE are applying under skilled worker immigration program and the rules are same for everyone...Haiti people were encouraged to apply under Refugee category. U can also apply under POLITICAL asylum in case u came from a country where is WAR...and in those cases different rules apply.
It's not the case of lebanese and syrian people. They will be treated like all others.

They dont mention these, but it open, they will mention it soon maybe. See how many Iraqi immigrants living outside Iraq easy getting it to canada, I know many people got it.

France & European countries also accepting syrians easy visas. but something going there. read this link,

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/notices/notice-syrian.asp

It doesnt mention that, but could be consultants lying too.

Ricoulina yes refugee I didnt say Skilled.

Applications in-Process

Over the coming months, Amman will finalize the processing of the several hundred remaining refugee cases that have passed selection. The remaining refugee cases for persons residing in Syria will be transferred to a secure location and processing will resume once the visa office in Damascus is able to re-open.

The refugee resettlement file caseload for persons residing outside of Syria will follow the same regional redistribution and processing will resume as follows:
Persons residing in    Applications were transferred to...
Lebanon                Visa Office in Beirut (Lebanon)
Cyprus                 Visa Office in Tel Aviv (Israel)
Jordan and Iraq        Visa Office in Amman (Jordan)
Greece                Visa Office in Rome (Italy)
Iran                      Visa Office in Ankara (Turkey)

I guess thats also reason why after CSQ federal applications are slow.

Family priority for Iraqis, they could update soon their web

Also my mother's friend met last week one lawyer from canada, he said that priority for Lebanese & Canadians. NOT QUEBEC

She will get me details,

Thats the link

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/faq/immigrate/sponsor/index.asp#iraq

Check Priority processing for family members in Iraq

Dear lemans,

The case of the Iraqis is different. They are refugees and their cases are submitted to the Canadian governments through the united nations. I don't think a person can go the a Canadian embassy to apply as a refugee. This can only be done through the united nations offices. They of course have different criteria than the skilled workers. they may take elderly people, disabled people, women with missing husbands...etc.

As for us, we applied as skilled workers so I don't think they will take into consideration the fact that the situation in our countries is messed up.

Maybe if a person coming from a war area arrives in Canada by any means, legally or illegally, he can apply there for asylum and then get the permanent residency.

No,, now syrians are applying as refugee, but check canadian web, these info I posted from CIC web.

Iraqi are applying family immigration not refugee, not skilled but the priorty seems for them

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/faq/immigrate/sponsor/index.asp#iraq

Thats the reason after the second AOR is slow, The last update on CIC web on 22 JAN 2012 they mentioned after CSQ residents of UAE takes 22 months for visa.

Why? since only medical test pending for CSQ holders?

To be more clear, for all of us.

Our CSQ interviews will be withing 3-4 months for all of us. the time (about 2 years) we waiting already passed.

The next step now federal, the federal AOR is given with 4-6 weeks MAXIMUM.

Just to wait for medical test & When you do you medical test that is valid for 1 year, the visa should be stamped

This second step shouldnt take more than 3 months.

My friend in she is married to Canadian he is living in Alberta & she is waiting in Lebanon for visa since 14 months after her medical test  Angry

hi RICOLUNA,
thanks so much for your reply and for showing confidence in my french abilities to reach atleast B1, I will surely try to reach upto this level. Smiley

Just one clarificiation for TEFaQ: Have you taken the same test before? when? and what was your score?

I read somewhere that the 2 sections of TEFaQ are tested as below:

TEFaQ: 2 Sections:
Section A: 40 minutes / 60 questions
Section B: - 35 minutes au total -

COMPRÉHENSION ORALE
4 sections - 60 questions
40 minutes
Objectif : mesurer votre capacité à comprendre le français parlé.

EXPRESSION ORALE
Objectif : mesurer votre capacité à communiquer à l'oral.
2 sections

Section A : Préparation de 10 minutes - Entretien de 5 minutes:
Jeu de rôle conduit par le candidat
Situation formelle
Objectifs: Obtenir des renseignements, recueillir des informations.

Section B : Préparation de 10 minutes - Entretien de 10 minutes
- 35 minutes au total -
Jeu de rôle conduit par le candidat
Situation amicale
Objectifs :

Is this information about the 2 sections correct? because you mentioned that speaking section involves 6 questions and listening involves 30 questions.

I am sure u'll easily obtain a B1 for both speaking and comprehension. In comprehension part u have a booklet in front of u with 30 questions and 3-4 answers.U hear the CD and u chose the write answer. They are not hard at all.
I oral part they ask u 6 questions, one for each level.in my case the lady asked me :
1. Present yourself
2. what clothes u wear if is cold outside
3. Imagine u wanna move and u need help from me to get infos about the new city.Ask me questions
4. What is in ur opinion the more important media and why
5. what is the Mediatization and the impacts of it ( this was the last question..)
And one more but i ca not remember....
U can easily answer first 3 to get a B1
Best of luck

Yes thats it, on 7 Juin my exam, I dont know if I get B1 or B2, this exam has désavantage when you solve wrong answer you get -1 point, MAZHAR got A1 listening and A2 oral , because of -1 points
I am planing to leave answers that I am not sure about, I will play a game  Wink
Oral part not easy at all hope I can get A2. I will let you know next thursday Wink

Ricoluna done the TCF Quebec different, easier no -1 point, I might take it too next time, depends on this one.

TCF oral, she asks you 6 level questions, TEF you get 2 subjects like Ad in news paper and you have to call and get information
second subject like, smoking is harmful for health, you have to convince someone to stop smoking.

Not that hard  Grin
