 @ Lemans207  Grin

I didnt mean that I would become a Masters in french Literature...

I just intended that If I clear TCFQ and send my application.I will keep working on french and have enough time till my interview to become the so called Fluent for the Interview...

Just a Positive approach thats all :-) I know I cannot ever speak like a native french speaker....

Congrats Ricoluna !!! Welcome to the CSQ holders club, buckle up because it is going to be a long journey ! and don't believe the rumors about the 12 months thing, it takes years, i have been waiting for over 28 months now. but hey ! you got the CSQ and that means it is just a matter of time before you will see yourself landing in Montreal ! congrats again i am truly happy for you and your family.
Thank u jET...u know the officer told me that before all files were proceseed from Damascus for all Middle east, but now in my case, all lebanese files are processed from Beirut, so they have not so much files to be proceed, and the time is between 12 and 15 month. Even my sister in low when she traveled 2 years ago, she waited 18 month after obtaining CSQ...and the file was in damascus.I don't know why are u waiting from so long .But as u told me it's a metter of time!

Again congratulations RICOLUNA, and about the second file, you can submit it to the VO of your home country, it would be faster than Beirut VO
Bachar i've asked the officer about this posibility and he told me will be necessary to make a request and go to romaia for medicals, and definitly will take time, so he thinks is better to proceed from beirut.
Thank u dear

Congrats!

Nice sharing Ricoluna.

I think French  is the only challenging part of your interview. I did two courses in French, however I forgot almost everything as I am not practicing French. I do not know, how to practice. I need a place like Quebec to practice French. Nobody around me uses a single word of French. I think I have revise it before my interview. I filed my documents in Aug 2010. My application was completed in Jan 2011 as they asked for few documents. I hope I will be called for an interview in next six month....lets see.

I raised a question in my previous email regarding interview call. How did you receive an interview call ? by mail or email or phone?

Regards,
Kbgold

Good luck dear and keep in mind that french is v important for them.
I received the invitation by Email.

My friends I decided to quit my dream to Quebec.

My french exam in 10 days and my interview will be in coming 3-4 months but Ill not attend

Quebec & Canada are fake dream... if you think you'll have better life, your wrong.

If you cant success in you home country its impossible to success in other country
.

I think this place is worst than Arab countries, as you see 2500 were arressted for demonstrations.

- Bad Medical system, no doctors you have to wait on waiting list, this doesnt happen in Lebanon.
- Taxes income up to 50%
- petrol 1.4$/liter
- If you earn 4000$ which is a dream deduct 2000$ will remain
- One bedroom apartment rent is 1000-1500 $/month
- Car insurance  very high,
- I am angry I pay in uae parking about 0.70$ per hour every day about 3$ near to my house, I knew in Montreal between 7$/hour
- If you have TV at home you pay tax etc...

Why do you think they changed the rules of immigration, because unemployment became too high

some friends immigrated and since one year still jobless, even they apply for job but no one calls for interview.

Already 2 years passed waiting for interview and now another 2 years after CSQ  Angry

In addition to very cold weather and last week it was 30s celcuis in spring (global warming) that means lot of storms and ICE melt

If you have house & car in your home country dont ever think about Immigrating, because Canadians dream to become like us  Grin

Try and tell me ... my aunt has masters degree and works as head nurse they get high paid. She is in Lebanon vacation, she was crying last week and telling my mother this is last time I can come visit to Lebanon, I cant save to pay for trip, since 18 years we are all working to pay for house price 300,000$

Many stories of friends in uae were earning 20-30,000$/month now earning 2000$/month in canada amd even some left and jobless now

You might ask me why did I apply....
I will answer no one was frank with me before I apply, lately people are telling me their stories and suffering

Lemans207,
Yes you might have a point in all what you said about canada and quebec. but you have any thing  positive at all. i am sure there is another side of the story of your unte. and there are other things that are compansating what she is missing.
as for your life in UAE ofcourse you have one  of the highst salaries in the world and you pay no tax but look at the other canadians amercans or europeans working in UAE i am sure you will see that they are getting a better salary just because they are western experts.
Lemens you have gone very far now with your immgration plan it is normal to have some doughts since the waiting time is long but there is nothing required from you now just keep living your normal life in dubai and when the intrview comes just attend then go spend a long holiday in quebec if you find work its nice if not then go back to dubai. keep all your options open you have nothing to lose just keep you fishing pol in the water and see what will it bring. who knows. maybe UAE deside to kick out lebaneas at some point what/where will you go?

As for me I am here since 2003 and I saved and built a house and have lastest car.. I am not talking about that all

As for my aunt she has no other side story, I met a lot of it.

As for Canadians Passport, its not respected in UAE, Canadians need visa to come to UAE there are issues, yet they dont get high paid, only Europeans and specially British,

As for long vacation in Quebec, the matter it became to difficult to obtain working visa in UAE now, it became to strict not like b4.

And remember you need minmum 1000$/month so youll need 12000$ /year... can you afford it?

I am right 300% read the forums other than this one, no one got job till now  Shocked

If you like they will give you food, lol your parent will give you food, au liban you can find apples in trees to eat but there in ICE ??

You know that now vegetables ? you know I was shocked to know its lile Desert in UAE you cant plant any fruits or Vegetables.

I guess we can watch IGLOO people how they fish and eat  Grin
