Can someone guide whether it is possible for someone like me (who already have applied in the Federal Skilled Worker, and have a file as "In Process"), to apply for Quebec Skilled Worker too, now?

I don't think it is an issue as long as you mention this in your CSQ applicaiton. In question No 6 of CSQ applicaiton you are asked if you have already applied for permanent residence in Canada (outside Quebec) and you can state that you are still waiting for a decision.

I believe u should stop your process with the federal and after this u can apply for Quebec.I don't know if a file can be processed in parallel.Anyway before u apply and make all translations and payments i think will be better to call the embassy in Damascus and ask them.Is safer. Good luck

The next sessions of interviews will take place in Damascus between 29 Mai and 14 July.Did anyone received a invitation for this dates?? I applied in august 2010, so is almost 1 year and no invitation till this date.

I had my interview and my CSQ at Damascus Office on 28-09-2010
I reapplied for the Federal Process and they received my Documents on 01-11-2010, and they have acknowledged this date on the cic website Client Application Status, Where the status is In Process. But I didnt receive a Letter of Acknowledgment, (6 months ago).
When do you think I will get my VISA ?

Any Lebanese Here, or similar case

Hello All,

I had filed for CSQ in Oct. 2010 and had the payment charged sometime in Dec. 2010 and shortly after received a letter in mail acknowledging the the processing of file and it stated that an email will be sent in relation to further processing or interview related information. I just wanted to confirm if this sounds alright, do they really send an email related to further processing of the interview, it has been a few months since I received the letter and nothing has come out as of yet.

hello Akram,

well, actually they take their time to issue an AOR...but 6 months is a long period.
did you check if fees are charged? if still not, maybe your file is not complete...you may mail the embassy.
if you are charged, so it's been a long time...so also you have to mail to them to clarify the situation.
this is my opinion...anyone can help?!?

How could u check ur status online without a file number???If ur status shows in process that means that they started with ur aplication.Ur status will remain ' In process" till they will give u the visa.Now u should wait for medicalas, it takes around 1 year.after that more 3 month maybe u will have ur visa.What need u have for the Letter of acknowledgment???

Yes when the date of ur interview will come 9 maybe (for u sometimes around sept-Oct 2011)u will be informed by email, fax,etc.
I applied in aug 2010 and i a still waiting for my interview.

Well thx anthony, two months ago I have asked them and they told me that they have received the file and the docs are complete, but it need some time, but maybe i should ask them again for the AOR, but they gave me the Immigration file number to check online.

Thx Ricoluna, I have check with them 2 months ago and they gave me the Immigration number so I can check online, but its weird that they didnt send me an AOR, do u think there is a problem ? or its normal since they showed the date of receipt (1-11-2010) and that the application is In Process, I think I should recheck again with them regarding the AOR delay.

Akram i think they have plenty of applications, but as they gave u the file number and ur file is processed, no need for AOR.Maybe they send it and is lost.It happens sometimes.I think u are worried for no reason.

YES AKRAM, I THINK RICOLUNA IS TOTALLY RIGHT...WHY YOU STILL WORRIED ONCE THEY GAVE YOU WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW FROM THE AOR.
JUST BE PATIENT MY FRIEND...!!!
