Quebec 2010 Applicants Damasucs Visa office

Hello Everybody

I thought a place is needed for applicants who have already applied for 2010 Quebec Skilled Worker program to share each other their progress status.

I have already submitted my docs for CSQ (Quebec Selection Certificate) late december and my file has been delivered to the visa office on 5th January.

My payment method is Credit Card and until now it is neither en-cashed nor any AOR sent.

Dear All,

I have already inquired from Damascus office about the time we can expect to receive our AOR in QSW framework.

here below is the reply i received:

"Quote"
Nous ouvrons actuellement les dossiers reçu le 31 décembre 2009.
Veuillez nous contacter à la mi-avril si vous n'avez toujours pas reçu
par la poste le numéro de votre dossier et votre accusé de réception.
"Unquote"

means still they are processing on file received until 31 Dec 09 and January applications can expect their AOR til Mid of April

I  received my AOR on first March 2010, it was dated 16th February 2010

Thanks for this forum.  For people like me who is just starting to gather all the documents, this will be very helpful.

Did you submit any documents for language proficiency in English and French?  Is it advisable to send bank statements along with the forms as well?

although it may be  a little bit late
actually i have submitted my Academic IELTS degree for english
for french i didnt anything to provide
however the second one can be very important as far as it may help u  to waive the interview
and as far as i know non of above are a mandate for quebec buddy

Huge thanks Kia!  I plan to take the French course after I have submitted all my documents and submit an English proficiency letter from my employer as I have been working in English for 5 years.  Has anyone in this forum done that before?

Thanx for creating this topic, so ppl with similar timeline can share their experiences & get some support.

I sent my English proficiency certificate issued by my employer along with my IELTS score sheet (copy).
As for French proficiency proof, I sent a certificate issued by my employer as well, as my work requires fluency in both languages.

In addition, I added "Certificat de la langue Française" issued by my college, in which I've studied all the materials in French.

If the proof of language proficiency was not sufficient, I guess they will set for an interview, but don't worry, that won't be so hard as long as u plan to learn French.

Hi Everybody

Just as an update, although I cared too much on the details about collecting and sorting of my docs my credit card payment was refused AT LAST . I dont know why it was a Visa Card from an American friend in US.
on early April I received the refusal confirmation from Damas and this time I asked a friend in Canada too send me a money order

The money order I received was from Toronto Dominion Bank with amount of 390 CAD $ in favor of Ministre Du finance du Quebec , the person who had purchased this money order for me has already written my name in the purchaser name on the face of money order but there were no any place for Address and DOB as embassy has asked in the web site.

I asked a friend who had applied before and he said I can put other information like Name, Address, DOB on the left backside of the money order I did and signed it and sent it although despite of 5 days studies in the net I couldnt find any place which is giving this supplementary instruction officially.

Any way yesterday the money order was received by the embassy and now i am waiting

A) if it will be confirmed
B) when i can received the interview letter

ANY BODY APPLIED IN DECEMBER JANUARY HAS  RECEIVED INTERVIEW APPOINTMENT LETTER ?

Sorry to hear that your sredit card not accepted..
Why dont you try with a bank draft.. that is the safest way i feel..gud luck for future.
