  The expense in Canada is depending up on the person's living conditions of him and hiks family members if any. All people are not spending money in same manner. Three months living expence is an approximate calculation if the person is not getting a job within that period. Some people may get a placement fast but others may not... So, you have to keep enough money for survival till you start earning yourself  from Canada.

in the self-sufficiency contract, there is a chart, which outlines the approximate fund requirements for 3 months living in Quebec. please refer it, and obviously you must have more funds in hand than quoted there.

i am new to this forum , thinking of applying to the QSW.I am from India New delhi

My profile

graduation in computer science
Masters in Computer science  18 years of education 12+6points
2.2 years in software testing .6 points
age 29 16 points
havent give ielts yet can score 6- 7, 6 points if education was in English no need to take IELTS
no knowledge of french yet will take classes or online
no relatives in canada

Financial self-sufficiency 1 point
total=47 points,

guys please let me know do i qualify . you don't qualify as of now because you need at least 49 points to reach the interview call cuttoff, so my advice to you is  to Enroll to AF and start learning french and clear A1 or A2 then send your application, like this you can escape the risk of rejection.

good luck.
This site has everything you need.
