I am a 2005 main applicant for my family. we did our medicals and sent them last August 2010. Before we received the medicals I sent an email to embassy asking about my file and they said that background checks are ongoing and after doing the medicals in about 5 months I sent an email to embassy and they said that they will contact us within the next 6 months. My question is the following: Now I have a very good job offer in my home country and I have to provide the answer to this offer very soon. To us, if we go to Canada, we're not planning to come back since we need to live all together as a family there and if we don't go, it would be a very good opportunity for me to get this job offer. Please give me your advice, do you think we might be rejected at this stage especially that it seems that our medicals are fine and the background check was done before they sent us the meds.
As of now your file is under security checks. Though rare - yet, it could lead to a rejection on those grounds, or delayed.
