Hi frens....
I am a dentist, presently working as a LECTURER in a dental college and I perform all the duties of a dentist and some of the duties of a lecturer. Earlier I had applied as a lecturer but unfortunately could not complete the documents So I withdrew my case and now I want to reapply as a dentist as now lecturer is not in the list. What occupation and NOC should I write in schedule 3 form and B/G decl.form(dentist or Lecturer) As I will get my experience as a lecturer in dental college but I wud surely get job duties of a dentist..!
Thanks

Ok thanks rocky...! U mean that it will not matter if I get experience as a LECTURER and write DENTIST in forms? You will need the duties of a dentist and if you run your own clinic or your own practice then you would need proof for that, the lecturer duties will not work under the Dentist NOC.

I am sure you were a dentist (not just by qualification but by actually doing dentistry) sometime right? like during your residency after university. If that was done in the last 10 years, that would qualify you.

i m working as lecturer in a dental college i.e.my designation/job title is lecturer but i also perform most of the duties of a dentist in my job. So,i will get experience of lecturer but hopefully i'll get my job duties of dentist included in that experience!

Do you have any years as a dentist that you were not a lecturer. I mean like working in a clinic, etc. The reason why I ask is that it would be an easier path using that experience for your ministerial list criteria.

I have 2 months exp. as a dentist in a private clinic, 6 months as a house surgeon in a dental college and about 1 and 1/2 yr as a lecturer in an another dental college. I am a dentist as i have done Bachelor of Dental Surgery and i have been registered as a dentist from my state dental council and also i have been practicing dentistry(performing most of all the job duties of a dentist) under the lecturer title too..

You should apply. It would have been easier to have made the argument if you were a dentist as opposed to a lecturer. For example, a person who teaches engineering must show practicals to the student, will consult to industry, etc but is not an engineer by profession (even though such a person is engineer by education). It would be harder to make the argument that such a person fits under the engineering NOC than for a person who actually worked as an engineer.
Having said that, I think you should apply. You just have to be very clear and hope for the best.

Ive had a few different answers to this question, so il try again. If you have been in the military and travelled to several different countries over the past 27 years, staying in some fro around a year or 10 month at a atime,do you need police clearance from all the diff countries. Im just trying to work out eveything we will need,if we get through to next stage. Look forward to your comments, many thanks.

Why don;t you email the London office and ask? If you were in the British military, you should mention that to them.

Hello all,
Would an Indian trained dentist (Masters Degree) working as a Lecturer for 4 years in an overseas country (Singapore) - also holding a dental super-speciality course diploma from a USA University would help him/her secure a seat in the accreditation program?
The program was offered in Singapore by a University from Newyork. I believe the USA diplomas are recognised in Canada. Also is MFDS exam going to help me? I am taking the same this year.
