I had submmited my application form (June 2010) to CIO under two NOC:

1. NOC 0111 - Finance Manager   (2006 to date) 4years 9months

2.NOC 0122  - Banking                (1999 to 2005)  7yrs

Query:

The 1st NOC is on the list of the 38 occupations approved by the Minister but the 2nd one was not on the list....Do I stand the opportunity of being selected?

I have read in this forum where applicants were rejected for NOC not on the list even though their other NOC are on the list.

Although, I'd wanted to be silence on the 2nd NOC but since They asked to provide details of where we were after 18 years of age.

If you have proof of your work experience in the 0111 NOC, you will be considered but you should have filed it before 26th June. On or after 26th June, this NOC was removed. I hope this helps a bit, rest let other comment. This is what my understanding that you should have one year full time experience in any of the 38 listed occupations but again before 26th June.

Hi,

As per the previous rules, applications filled/(received by CIO) before 26th June 2010 will be considered as per the old 38 list. Now in order to be eligible you need to have at least 1 year of continuous experience under the listed 38 list, which you clearly have and the rest of experience should fall under the Skill type 0, A or B which the other NOC clearly falls so that the work experience can be included to evaluate the points.

Please do not be tensed, you do not have complete information. If the application reached CIO before 26th June 2010, you are safe provided your application was complete and it meets the eligibility criteria.
