We were just chatting today @ our home with another member couple of this forum - when this same topic came-up. The Lady Wife informed us that in her own dept ( @ a bank) there r 2 elderly employees... A female who's 65++ and another male who'd be around 60.
And both r performing diligently (though a bit unaware of IT), while the dept is perfectly satisfied with them. No questions asked - no voices raised.
The husband also mentioned that when he was in the US - he used to get visits from a 60 yr old female @ his office for learning... She was a newbie in the org.
Here, nearly everywhere I find enough Sr. Staff (easily around 55-60s) working hand-in-hand with young blood... I have seen Cops too (visibly looking elderly)... It seems age is not a criteria here.
