Ruka,
Relax! CMB CHC has sent you a wrong email response. Once it happened to me too. I was aksing from CHC that if I was required to get a PCC from canada as I was there last two years, and to my strange, they sent me an email response saying that I should contact CIO, NS for family sponsership applications from outside canada. We cant blame them as they are dealing with so many applications and email inquiries. You could simply visit CHC, colombo or send them a case specific inquiry. There is a guy in here, await. he had an issue and he also went to CHC in person and got his matter sorted out.

Good luck!

Hi ruka,
Well, I was actually mad at them as i could not expect such irresponsible email response after four days or so. I replied them suggesting that their customer service department needed to be more accruate when responding to email inquiries and requested suggestions on the PCC from Canada. They replied me a week later. The same thing is happening with FBI certificate. I suggest you that you may email them mentioning that they sent you a wrong email response. The best thing would be to visit the VO in person to get clarifications on that.  I doubt if there is anything going on with new changes to FSW program. If not Fax them.01125226289/ 01125226298.

Looks like they have sent you a wrong email. Send them the email again and ask for a clarification on this email that you are not able to understand this email.

Dear Seniors;

What's ur experience regarding case specific inquiries before sending detailed application to visa office. Reason for asking this question is that in email which i received from NS, there is a NOTE that states:

"Until the visa office has received your completed application, it will not accept, respond to, or attach to your file any interim correspondence, except
  • Change of adress
    Change of immigaration representative
    Withdrawl of application

So, do these visa offices responsd for your queries, before sending detailed application??

I tried to find out how this system works but was unable.   I tried to change my address after firsts AOR , emailed visa office 3 times and 3 times they said that they had not received my file from CIC and could not make the change until they did .   So there is something wrong with the CIC instructions on first AOR because visa office said that they had no record of my file , that they had not received my file from  CIC , even when I emailed AOR letter from CIC to prove it.   How can this be ?  ( I never sent the document package to CHC since I was going to withdraw anyway) .

 The problem is why does it clearly state in the AOR letter that change of address, withdrawl applications should be addressed by visa office even if documents have not been sent by applicant , but in my case they said they had no record of my file .

 Can any seniors explain what exactly happens with the files after first AOR is received ?     Its very confusing to be given instructions and then having the Visa office just ignore you as if you dont even exist.  I withdrew application
(for other reasons) ,  tried to do it trough visa office 5 months after first AOR and guess what , they said that they had no record of my file and that I had to do it directly with CIC.   Lets see what happens with second attempt.
