Thank you!

One more question :

PCC is must for any place where you lived for more than 6 months.

In my case, I used to live in military base that doesn't come under jurisdiction of local police/Government. Like, I lived in Iraq for 3 years and then moved to Sudan where UN was controlling that base. After that I moved to Afghanistan.

Would be there any exception in this case? or suggest any alternate please. I do have US Military authorization letters i.e LOA, Badges and other privileges letters to prove my stay and work.

Thanks,

PS

While on FSCA [Field Service Controlled Area], or  @  UNPKF [like ISAF, in your case], or on VOPIL [Vulnerable Out-Post In Living], or on ACA [Aid to Civil Authorities], or ERE [Extra Regimental Employment] & the likes... u could be garrisoned in NFSL [Non Family Strategic Locations] -- these wouldn't have any civil control, thus a PCC won't be possible. U could write an explanation letter to your VO on the issue & request a 'waiver'.

However, it'd be interesting to know how u would propose to submit those military docs -- given that most of it would be CMCs [Classified Military Communications] concerning OLs [Ops Locations]!

I'm confused...Qorax correct me if I mis-state something...but I just completed filling my application yesterday and as far as I remember  reading somewhere (have to go back and check where excatly), but I did read in one of the forms/instruction guide that family member their definition of family members is spouse/common-law partner and your kids/spouse's kids... not parents/siblings...for parents/siblings we have the Additional Family Form that we filled out separately.... Am I right?? Because my IMM0008 doesnot include my parents/siblings and my husbands parents/siblings info. Please clarify. And read the instructions in the Instruction Guide pertaining to this question for reference.

Thanks

1. Don't send any query to your VO... have patience & wait.
2. A separate section of the CIC, its MIS cell.
3. Yes, your security checks r ON.
4. Meds r under review with Ottawa, as they 'second' the DMP's opinion - u'd have MR reflected on the e-Cas.
5. It usually takes 3-4 months to get the PPR,after the meds reach the RMO. U should be hearing from them by Jul-2011.

Good luck.

Qorax

Hi Capt. Qorax,
I have a worrying question :- looking at the timeline below, if there was a medical re-test that needed to be done, would I have received a letter from the VO by now asking me to do a re-test? Or can I safely say that my medical is acceptable and that they are working on the next step. The reason for me asking is because I had phlegm due to cough when the x-ray was taken. I am only worried if they ask for a re-test for that reason.
Until today, 7th July I have not heard from the VO. I am just wondering about the stage of the application :- medical re-test or security check.

The medical timeline:-
Medical request :16th April
Medical done : 22nd April
Medical received : 28th April

Your reply is much appreciated. Thanks Capt. in advance.

Medical furtherance, if required, is notified to the applicant [letter sent by VO] by 8-10 weeks, usually.

Hi Qorax, Please help me on this topic if you can plz,

I applied as a chef (NOC 6241) in april 2010. Now my status is in process with RBVO details.

I just wanna ask you that when I applied as a chef as per my past 5 years experience as a chef back in India. but after I applied I have gained one year COOK experience in Australia since I applied PR to Canada. I want to update One year of Cook experience gained in Australia. But this experience is as a Cook not chef.

If I update this to Sydney VO is there going to be any negatives as V O might think that why I am Cook suppose to be working as a chef.

Should I update this or not, plz advise

Thanks

1. U should info your VO on it asap, w/out fear.
2. There's no difference between a 'cook & 'chef' - except the latter being a qualified professional, read here:
http://www.differencebetween.net/miscellaneous/difference-between-cook-and-chef/
3. Whether u r an EC, or CDP, or a Commis... it really doesn't matter as long as u r operating in F&B (Production) dept. of the Hospitality industry.

Hi again Qorax! Thanks for the reply.. NOpe it isn't a different file number, the same as when i received my PER from CIC.. that's the reason why I wanted to know whether it is the 2nd AOR because have read from the others that 2nd AOR should have a different file number... Though still waiting patiently for it in the coming days or maybe weeks.. hoping everything will go smoothly..

Captain Qorax,

I would like to ask regarding the dilemma of my friend, they have a consultant so I know that they were guided on their application, however I asked them if they had the employment contract and employment certificate, dry sealed by our company, I haven't seen them do that nor ask for the business card of the signatory, and behold they really didn't have the card and dry seal. I told them to ask their consultant regarding the concern..will it affect the application?? to the point of having it sent back???Your out most guidance is needed. Thank you
