Thanks Sir!
While going through another forum I read in some post about the quota that VOs have for each year. Does that impact my timeline, now that I am to get something in 2012 instead of 2011?

http://Sir,

Is it ok to keep checking CAS regularly? I end up checking quite a few times a day these days. Hope it doesnt carry any impact on processing time?

No issues... but why do u do that? Once-a-week/fortnightly would suffice I guess.

Sir,
My understanding is that respective Visa Office, )e.g NDVO in my case) updates the CAS once the status is "In Process". Also, many a times I have seen people sharing in forums that their status went to DM just then etc. Out of curiosity, from the fact that I sent the PPs of my new born and got his medicals done, on 23rd and 22nd dec resp., I keep checking hoping that NDVO would probably update real time. Pl correct me if I am wrong... then I bellieve it gets only updated once weeky... tuesdays, right?

Captain Qorax,

Please advice

As it's stated that you should have relevant experience in 29 available categories from past Ten Years, in my case my experience is in NOC 7215 is from Jan-2000 till Jan-2005 (its 5 Years)
And if I apply in March -2012

Last ten years would be from March 2002 till March 2012 is this correct?
If the above statement is true I am afraid I might lose one year of experience?

U loose nothing.
-All experiences r counted towards your "points", whatever NOC that maybe.
-It's only for being 'eligible' - u need 1yr's exp in the applied NOC, in the last 10yrs.

My timeline...
NOC - 0631
Visa Office - NDVO
App. recd at Nova Scotia - 29 March 2011
File no. generated - 28 April 2011
RBVO - Early June 2011
In Process - 23 November 2011
RPRF/Med/PP Request - 23 November 2011
Med Done - 11 Dec. 2011
Med/PPR for younger son (added later) - Done and sent on 23rd december.
Just yesterday night, my status that was in processed is now reflecting "Medical results have been received"
However, the address that was missing for long is now showing again.

Captain Qorax,

  Pls. advice, urgent

I have a job offer in Bahrain, its for a year contract but included is a 40 days leave, technically making me work there for only 10-11 months.. Its a job opportunity that is so hard to let go since the offer is really good and the funds will help me and my husband on our migration. I am leaving on the last week of January. However the dilema is..I received my Medical request already, I plan to have it done before I leave to take care of everything..yet my family is anxious on taking the risk since they were thinking that in case the VISA comes out it has only months of validity. My questions are..

1. How long is the validity of the VISA?? is it true that it is valid until the medical expired?
2. I plan to inform the VO about my status but after I have the ticket to Bahrain, is it a good decision to inform them? will they delay my case due to this event?
3. I am willing to go to Canada alone from Bahrain and go back for in case it is needed, however I have no experience yet, will I be denied to do this by my employer or will it be difficult to process in Bahrain since I am a working visa holder?

Your input will help me decide on this. Thank you
