Quote
Dear Qorax,
As your good self might already know, I've applied in Mar 2004.
I requested CAIPS before 6 months, PSDEC=1, rest all i.e. SELDEC,BDEC, etc are 0 (zero)
Also, updated docs in Sep 2008.
Finally, I decided to apply in Fast track in Oct. 2011.
Unfortunately, through various forums, I came to know that cap was reached 2 months prior to my application reached CIO.
(Although CIC website was still showing cap not reached even after one month of my application reached CIO).
After researching somewhat, I came to know that, CIO, Nova Scotia is having the inventory of the application as per date received.

Today, I came across one forum (link mentioned below), it stated that now there is some rumour that CHC is going to warehouse all the application received before feb 2008.
immigration.ca/forum/forum_posts.asp...

I do understand that Canada is giving us the privilege for allowing us to apply under FSW and granting us PR, its not our right.

I respect every decision taken by Honorable Minister and Govt. to reduce the backlog, and I know that Hon. Minister and Govt. is working round the clock to reduce the backlog.

Dear Qorax,
Is this rumor of ware housing the application forever is true ?
Do I have to leave the hope for Canada Immigration ?

Qorax,
Furthermore,
1.   In Feb 2008, when rules were modified, we do not have any idea about the fate of our application
2.   Then after, in July 2010 still not even any consultant said to apply under fast track (They kept on saying to wait....)
3.   In July 2011, when some of the pre C-50 applicant received the answer that their application will not be proceeded in 2011 or 2012 due to enough inventory, consultant started to advice the people to apply again.

In my case and many other, especially those we were in NOC 29 and applied before Feb 2008, although we are having the continuous experience of 9.5 years but still we are waiting for our application to get processed, while our juniors with just 3-4 years experience applied in 2008, are settled in Canada. (I am not jealous but you can understand the pain from deep of my heart)

Please advice.. did you see any ray of hope for the Pre C-50 applicants ?
Please advice same NOC list will be repeated in 2012 July..
(Sorry for such a long post)

Dear Sir,

Ur pain & agony is genuine... CIC, sure, has goofed-up big time with the backlog theory & formalizing any movement / exit plans for the C-50 apps.

It furthermore went & messed it up thru it's various MIs -1,2,3 etc. and many opine that much thought wasn't put forth in the conservative's plan for 2012 & beyond.

Said that, I don't think the 'warehousing' theory holds any substance... it'd surge a wave of litigations - CIC being already embroiled in many. However, the movement on the older apps will not accelerate as well... the MIs being their future.

I'd thus advice anyone in the pre-Feb2008 rigmarole to apply afresh  @  the drop of a hat - if they make it in the MI List. And do so in June-2012 itself... keeping their apps package 'fully ready' for despatch - the day the MI is announced.

To ur query on predicting the MI List of 2012 -- Sir, it cannot be done. It'd remain fluid till they announce it themselves. However, as observed over the past -  @ least 50% of the NOCs would remain - but which ones[?]... impossible to opine.

All the best!

Hi Qorax,

For how many days an immigrant needs to stay in canada at least in Canada?

I'm just looking whether it is possible that,  after I land there and have my sin/bank accnt , can i come back to my place of work and my relative can collect and mail me back the PR card?

I need the info to make certain decisions..

Thanks..

-U can return back by the next flight.
-SIN & Bank a/c is a day's job.
-However, it's wise to stay put till u receive ur PR cards [2-3 months].
-Remember, u'd need to meet the residency requirement [2/5yrs] to maintain ur PR.

Dear Qorax, your advice for Pre-Feb 2008 is to apply fresh, whats's your advice for people from FSW1 who don't have their NOC codes in the priority list anymore?

Dear Manonthemove,

There are a couple of options:

   1. Try a different country other than Canada such as Australia, New Zealand or even US.
   2. Wait for your turn for MR, PPR at the CIC as part of the backlog
   3. Finally, file a suit against CIC

   Hope this helps
