Thanx for replying.
However, the cash has been sent by bank transfer and not by DD. So it has reached their account.
Whether they will accept it or return it is in their hands..

Having written the wrong account name, how can that money be credited in that account. It should have come back to your bank. Amount can be in sundary/ misc account of bank.
RPRF before PPR I have not seen this type of situation.

The mailing address to Paris visa office was government of canada, immigration section, canadian embassy. But, there was no "government of canada" given in the instruction given to send bank transfer. The bank officer didnt notice it. Neither did I. Since the ac no and iban no were correct, the cash went into the account. We had verified with the bank and they said it has not returned.
I guess its normal to get RPRF along with  medicals for paris visa office.

Send an email to your VO & explain the error (in name). Also send them your WTT No. probably they'd link it... it shouldn't be a problem that the funds rest with them & hasn't been yet reverted back.

Dear Qorax,

Thanx for your time.
Could you plz tell me what WTT no means.

I had sent them an email when i noticed the error. There was also the problem of sending the correct amount when commission was included. You see, when we approached the bank and told them the matter, they said the new European rule does not allow only one party to pay commission but should be shared. Twice we cancelled and even the next bank did it the same way. When we talked to the manager, he said it is not compulsory, that the Paris bank may or may not deduct commission. I was so worried that the embassy would return the cash and did not really check the name of beneficiary.

So when I mailed them, they replied me to send the proof. I did so by postal mail.
I didnt get any information after that and has been waiting since November 2nd week.
Do you suggest me to send them another mail?
Your replywill be greatly appreciated..

Regards

1. That was the Transaction No.
2. Wire transfers r double-charged ( @ the origin, as well as @ the receipient end).
3. Thus, if u had accounted for the 2nd charge - it'd be fine.
4. Send them a scanned copy of the WTT slip thru email (u can also use the CIC webform).

The transaction levy & a few $$$ upwards should be OK. But, if u go overboard - there r chances the VO might send it back. However, it's just my opinion, as I haven't yet noticed/come accross a similar situation.
