Hi - this is very unwise in my opinion. London VO can ask to see proof of funds at any time. Although they will accept equity in property at the application stage, they will be mindful that this has to be in real funds when you come to land.

Therefore you are making your funds less easily transferrable, and the visa officer might not like this if he wants to see further proof of funding.

In any case you will need the real funds when you have to complete your record of landing. If you are intending to genuinely emmigrate why are you considering buying a property in your own country with funds which are needed to settle in Canada?
