If they are going to refuse your Visa what's the point to request your passport? I think just relax

At this stage of your process I doubt it, maybe at the begining they'll do that, i don't see why to contact employer now, but I'm not a lawyer is just my personal opinion.

Ruben,
Could tell when did you get request for the passport? Which visa office issued  passport request?

ruben,

like cchabert and others said ... just relax... at this point they will not be interested in
contacting your employer as there is no such law from CIC to that effect....

so have a beer and time comes start searching a job in canada...

good luck ... request you to respond to chow's queries Smiley

Congratulations Ruben2009! It's time to celebrate and relax. Correct me if I am wrong, I believe you applied to CIC, transferred to NY, under NSNP sometime during Nov 2008.

How long does it take to get the passport back after e-cas shows "Decision Made". Its now 3 weeks over e-cas showing "Decision Made"
but I haven't received the passport yet!! Is it a negative sign to get the PR VISA or is it the normal process time? anybody please advise.
Thank You.

I have been told that depending on locations, time from passport submission until passport return may take up to 8 weeks.
