Provincial Nominee Application / LMO Application

Hi all,
I would appreciate any advice anyone can provide me on my situation.
I am currently on a work permit until next July. I am currently employed in the Construction Industry.
On the CIC website there is the following quote:
"1) If you are currently working in Canada:
your current employer must have made an offer to give you a permanent job if you are accepted as a federal skilled worker, and
your
temporary work permit must be valid both when you apply for a permanent resident visa and when the visa is issued
."
Does this mean that if I have not received PR by July then I cannot stay? Or will I get implied status?
Also if I apply for PR under my current Work Permit, then receive an LMO in 1-2 months time, will this count as a "different" visa, or will it be considered the "same" visa.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Colin

It means if you want to keep your PR application going, you must keep renewing your work permit every time it is about to expire which will probably mean you need a new LMO unless you are a PNP nominee, then you don't.
