Province / city of landing !

Dear friends,
What should one put normally on the form, where it has been asked that which province / city would you like to land. I have put Ontario / Toronto, is that OK. Does everyone puts the same province / city? Can one put some place other than that. Would he be questioned by CIC for putting places other than what are normally chosen by the applicants. Toronto gonna be pretty crowded that way, isn't it !!

It is entirely upto you and you can choose to land any where in Canada except Quebec as Quebec has its own immigration policies, yes if everyone goes to the same city it will be crowded, no one will ask you why have you chosen a city over other, there may be a casual question at port of landing but no effect on the process. Most people put Toronto as they feel the chances of getting jobs initially is higher here.

You should put where you see oppurtunities for yourself like employment or any other. There can also be reasons like if some of your relatives or friends are living there. Not everybody puts Ontario / Toronto, you have been misinformed by some body. I put Calgary / Alberta. You can put any city / province you like going except Qubec and you will not be asked why you chose that.

how about landing, what if i plan to land anyplace (except qubec) other that what i had mentioned in my forms !!
dear pittabread, what i actually meant was, most of the people opt for Ontario / Toronto as most of my friends have done so and have already landed there, never said everyone does so..cheers

Yes you can land any where you like except Qubec and its not compulsory you land what you mentioned in the form.
