maybe i might have a problem then for the VO to consider the marriage genuine but not sure, i'll explain.

My wife is 17 years younger then me but on the papers we did mention we first met online in chatroom in 2007 then we met in person in 2008 and lived together for 2 months then got engaged to marry then in 2009 went back and lived another 2 months together and got married in 2009 and we just now filed for PR as it took awhile to get the necessary Philippine passport for her in her married name and other papers for NSO, etc., plus she wanted to spend a little time with her father and family before she comes here as her father is 72 and not sure how much longer he has to live and when she does come here might be awhile before she can visit back home as plane tickets are expensive.
So October 2011 we finally filed the PR papers, one reason is so difficult on us being apart for so long we miss each other so much and other reason of course we want to start our life together, now the thing that might be a problem is that we maybe didn't include too much evidence but on the papers we did state we talk on phone 1-2 times a week, talked on yahoo and skype, plus text each other everyday (i don't have a cellphone to text her but i use a free program for texting to her cellphone through my computer) and that i support her with western union.

The evidence i did put in was the western union receipts, my phonebills showing the calls i made to her, pictures of us together when i was there, plane tickets from when i was there but the only thing i couldn't do was show prove of skype or yahoo talks because of i don't own a printer. So does this mean we will have a problem?

Just have a look what CIC regulations says :-

If you are being sponsored by your spouse, common-law partner or conjugal partner, you must send evidence of the relationship such as;

• Proof of your sponsor's visits such as airline ticket coupons, boarding passes, copies of pages of your sponsor's passport showing entry/exit stamps

• Wedding photographs depicting all the rituals of a traditional wedding,

• Wedding reception and post wedding photographs,

• Evidence of continued contact with sponsor such as phone bills, letters and e-mails and

• Marriage certificate issued by the Registrar of Marriages.

If you are a common-law or conjugal partner, provide;

• Evidence that your relationship is genuine and continuing,

• Has existed for at least 12 months prior to your application,

• Details of the history of your relationship and,

• At least two statutory declarations from individuals with personal knowledge of your relationship supporting your claims.

Kind Note : Age difference may give out a red flag for the CIC, especially if it is in contradiction to your background/culture standards but it should not be a problem if you can prove to the CIC that you are in a genuine loving relationship. A lot of times they ask for an interview.

If you are indeed a genuine couple, there should be plenty about your relationship to share with CIC to "prove" it. The fact that there is 17 years difference in your ages will be readily apparent to them - and may or may not be a "red flag" depending on how you present yourselves otherwise. If they have doubts, they'll request an interview. Now at the interview they will try to figure out if you are really in a genuine relationship or not. Make sure you have enough supporting proof!!

All the best,

hello! I agree with Borntowin! Provide more proof as possible! I myself did it! as my husband is 32 years older than me. I'm 28 and he is 60.

You can print things from an internet cafe. Either send the documents to an email address you can access from an internet cafe or put the documents on a thumb drive.

i didnt have a printer too but we bought one just to scan and print stuff for my hubby's application. its expensive but its worth it if only to make our application stronger. we included evrything, pictures from the very start of our rel'p in 2006 up to christmas pictures a few days ago. we included many weddding photos especially showing us with all our guests. also many photos before and after wedding with family.

we've been together for all of our rel'p and its only next mnth when i will be going back to CND that we will spend a long time apart, so we dont really have chat records or emails coz we use prepaid cellphones here but i included letters and cards we give each other on special ocassions, tickets from our trips together, movie tickets, wedding receipts and supplier contracts .

i suggest that if u feel u cld show more proof, then do it. especially if u have red flags in ur situation. if u need to buy a printer just to print those skype logs then do it. it will all be worth it trust me Smiley

well for one there is a problem with the skype logs because my wife's skype is bugged somehow and i can't help her fix it because i'm not there with her to see her computer and she is not computer smart to fix it herself so when we talk on skype and put our webcam on we can only talk and not type to each other, for some reason that bug on her computer won't give her the option to type instant messages to me when we have webcams on, plus the yahoo conversations we had over a year ago are already deleted in the program as it only saves for so long before it auto-deletes them

There should still be skype history of the calls though, right? You can also put the files on a USB stick and take it to a printing shop (or just buy a printer...they are relatively inexpensive).

How about other proof, like support letter from friends and family? Proof that you have met/talk to each other's family, proof of future plans, cards from birthdays or something.

a great way to print of a list of your skype history is to download the skype exporter, that's what I did. I don't know the website anymore but somebody posted this

hm, no offense but this sounds a little weird...

maybe I got it a little bit wrong (so correct me): the age difference is 17 years (ok), it took you guys almost 2 years to get the papers ready for the PR (ok), during these two years you've lived apart for most part (?), you do not have $40 to buy a printer (?)

I never had  a printer before..Ever in my life, bUt I never regret to buy one just for my immigration paper. I'd rather spend a few bucks for a printer than pull a thousand out of my pocket because the application is refused.
