They don't seem to accept property as proof of funds nowadays. Only Bank deposits or Fixed deposits, not even gold is accepted.

Yes you can !!!

In May 2011 I received my medical request, along with a fresh proof of funds. And the letter clearly stated that property (evaluated) can be shown as proof of funds ! I can scan and upload the letter if anyone wishes to see it.

Yes u can. Primary condition is formal evaluation which is already done in your case. U need to prove that this property is saleable at the time of your departure to Canada and will bring cash with you generated from this sale.

In simple words NO...

Pakistan FSW applications are processed at CHC London.

CHC London accept property as proof of funds because when we applied (our visa office is London) we supplied only 3 estate agents quotations and a mortgage letter to prove our equity in our house.

And we have our passport requests.

So I don't understand "In simple words NO..."?

Correctly said asyousuf and Cappuccino. And as a proof of his willingness to sell the property at the time of departure, he can send a notarized affidavit !

And Dear bregadier, as I said I have a written letter from CIC London, I think it surpasses any other hearsay!

They accepted our property equity as proof of funds (same visa office = London) so I can assure you that they do Smiley

I have read of Refusals regarding sending property value as POF.

Remember the first processing is at CIO and not at Visa office. London does accept property value, but, that might be at discretion of Visa Officer and the applicants whereabouts. I have read that people got refused and property not being accepted as POF.

Cappacino you are in UK, there is also an element of fraudulent assessments etc (in the context of POF) when it comes to other places. May be they accepted the UK property assessment.

Anyways I will definitely not advise sending only property as a POF. CAP is small and it will be reached soon, try showing Bank account etc to be safe. And offcourse if the OP doesnt have money, then there is no choice but to send property as POF, and, let the lady luck take over.
