no, I said I sent a few photos, and wrote "for more photos see the following link: www.xxx.xxx.com" I have about 800 photos of my wife and I, so what, they want to look at all 800?
[/quote]

We decided to follow the guide as closely as possible.  We also decided to provide evidence of three years (photographs, emails etc.) sensibly, i.e. not so much to overwhelm anyone looking at the information.

We sent around 20 photographs and 30 emails - actual emails with content not screen shots - we also sent communication from other family members and friends - actual contents, cards, plus items such as life insurance policies.

What you need to remember is, your application should be complete with all items requested.  If you were the officer reviewing the file, would the information you have sent and of which is to hand at the time of review, show that the relationship and application is genuine?

Well, I learned my lesson, thanks for the tips. My wife lives with me so maybe that will outweigh the relative lack of an extensive photo collection on hard paper (although I emailed them some photos, hopefully they will be able to attach them to our ap. Otherwise, as I metnioned before, we live together and dated regularly before getting married (while living across town from eachother) so no email, cards, letters, etc..

Juche,

Please remember that the people commenting on your question/situation are trying to help you get your application approved. The suggestions are based on their understanding of the guidelines for applying, personal experiences, and reading posts in this and other forums.  Be grateful someone noticed your comment about online photos and suggested you send more hardcopy pics for your application. It just may have helped you get approved. Kindest regards and best wishes, Allison

You don't need to send 800 photos. Smiley My lawyer's office told me that if I have a lot of photos from the same event, just pick one or two of the best photos from there and send in. The only time I sent pretty much every photo was from the wedding.

I don't think they are going to bother going on websites and hand-typing in URLs you sent in, but it certainly didn't hurt to include the link...

If it was the cost of printing photos that stopped you from printing more, try doing it at Costco. You can submit them online, have them printed by the next day, and it's very, very cheap.

Yes, Costco is a warehouse club, so you have to be a member. Sorry if I didn't mention that, I thought it was common knowledge. I'd recommend joining, though; you'll save the money easily in a month.

we sent just 50 photos in total and lots of emails and msn chat logs. our case was different as we spent a few years away from each other and cyber communication was the only one we could keep in touch.

I'm still hoping that in our case, seeing as we (my sponsor and I) have lived together since our wedding, it will be a simple case and that it will go through rather quickly. Fingers crossed, anyway, but I know....you never know.
