Has anyone here provided proof of marriage by listing website links (picassa, flickr, etc) to photos of you marriage? Thought this was a good idea, convenient for the people processing your application and less hassle for the applicant what with developing and sending hard copy photos. In the app instructions they only said NOT to send videotapes and the like. Any comments on this?

They are pretty specific about the photos -- must be loose, not bound in albums etc etc. It seems to me that they want hard copies.
If it takes a few seconds to thumb through a buynch of phtos, it wojld certainly take longer to go to a website to two -- so they probably would not.
But it would be interesting to know if anyone HAS deviated from the instructions and received a visa anyway.

I would seriously advise you NOT to do this. If you can't be bothered printing them out, they're not going to be bothered searching on the web for your photos.

So you sent them TWO photos???
I don't know why you would risk delaying your application like that. If they need to ask you for additional photos, which they most likely will, you could be adding a 1-2 month delay to your file. Your choice.

I dont think that is such a good idea. if you want less hasstle you can start a Word Document, copy/paste pictures in it. You can put about 8-10 pictures per page, then print them on a color printer.

I agree that they may see this as lack of motivation to properly prepare your case. Its like going to court and saying well just check my online photo links, i dont have much here. But who knows in todays day and age! I wont take any chances personally however.

Im sure you will be fine, they will probably ask for more proof and you can attach a letter saying what youve said here. At worst, a delay. But hey your idea could work who knows. Its risky but sometimes you need a revolutionary idea in the process, we`ll learn something new here!

Everything the IO needs should be in the package you sent. The link is a good idea if you want them to be able to see extra photos - ie if you have 600 photos, there's no need to send all of those, you can send 20-50 and have the rest available online. But never assume they will look at any links you send them, so make sure what you actually sent (physically) is enough to establish your relationship is genuine.

so should I haul arse to the local Canadian visa office which will be processing my case and hand over a stack of photos just to be safe? might be a good idea...and here I thought I was being smart and economical:( on the other hand, if we already got a reply from Mississaugua stating that the sponsorship ap has been approved, then doesn't that suggest they are satisfied with the evidence we sent?

they start on working on your evidence only in the local visa office to prove that your marriage is genuine. and the more evidence you send them the better including hard copies of various pictures of both of you together
