Hi Qorax,

My question is regarding the landing funds. Me and my wife will be landing in next few days, my wife is the PA in our case. Is it possible to take all the landing fund (we'll be taking a DD) on my name and not my wife who is the PA? Could  that create any problem?

Thanks

No issues.

Hello jainanshal, I'm surprise look on your application progress. within 6 months you get your Medical Request. Could you share a tips for us? What would the keys of fast process? Of course beside of much prayer.

App. Filed.......: 20-06-2011
Med's Request: 12-01-2012
VISA ISSUED...: 29-02-2012

Well i suppose the credit goes to NDVO as its not just my application, but all others who sent their appl during that time have got the Visa.. I think the only key to fast process is to properly go thru and understand the instructions as well as the appl forms so that your appl bundle has all the relevant documents and properly filled forms.

Besides, its good if you have good searching skills as this forum has loads n loads of info on every aspect of appl process... you just need to search for it Smiley

Best of luck!

I agreed that credit should goes to the VO. I've made my research and understand that most of the VO office now is working very quick under the new system. first is to make sure the application complete without doubt by CIC and VO. Second important issue is, NOC play an important role too. the more "rare" the NOC, the faster the application get process. I may be wrong on this but i think this make sense.

Sir Qorax, I am currently working in Oman in the middle east and my nationality is indian. I am planning to resign my current job and go back to India for atleast until Jan/Feb next year in order to settle a few things there. I will most probably leave Oman end of Sept if not earlier. My question is if this re-locating would affect my application in any way. My VO is Londin which serves the middle east region, so would my case be transferred to ND if I were to move to India and the processing has to start all over again? As well if you could comment is staying without a job from Sept to Feb would have any adverse effect on my case. Please, I am very close to getting my PPR but so unfortunate that it is not coming yet. please if you could guide me so taht my application is not jeopardized after this long wait tx

Dear Qorax and other members

My wife and I will be landing in Canada in a month. My questions are

1. How much money can we carry with us as cash?

2. Will they question us if we carry more than 20,000 CAD in cash?

3. What is the limit for carrying money in hand while landing?

4. What exactly are the rules for carrying money when landing?

5. What kind of proof will we hav to show for the cash we will be carrying?

Any feedback and advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you .

Dear qorax !

What if someone one has only Cash at POE as POF and also the cash is less then 10K. If the landed immigrant has only 3K or 4K CAD with him/her at POE then how he/she will be treated as POE.

Hi qorax,

My POF is a little more than $26K for a family of six.  Is it ok to bring less of that amount, say exactly $20K only?
