Yes, u can, imdtly after landing.
But how'd u survive w/out adequate funds? North America is pretty expensive, especially for ppl coming from the sub-continent. Actually the CIC guided POF isn't good enough, to have a better/comfortable initial settling u need much more monies than that.

Lacking sufficient funds will hit ur lifestyle, make u depressed, lose confidence, live desperately, reside in lousy locales, put a dent on ur networking abilities -- all of which shall pose negatively on ur job search as well. U'd thus, end-up blaming the system; and might come back to this forum cursing Canada as a whole.

Think about it!

Submitting your husbands corporate account statement will also require you to attach ownership documents of the company. i will suggest you transfer the funds to your account to avoid unnecessary legalistics. Some people can inetrprete the scenario as the corporate entity is different from your husband even though though it is a sole proprietorship.

you are right people interprete it as you said,  and this basic concern motivated me to place this question on board.
will be really thank full if anybody can share more details.

Thanks for your suggesiton.

Hi qorax, would you please explain what is meant by GCMS notes? Is it the same as CAPIS? The london VO received my medicals on 30 jan and till now no updates. Do you think I can use GCMS/ CAPIS in this situation? Do we nneed to pay somethign for this? How long does it take for them to answer? As well how do we do it? If you could answer, it would be great. Many thanks

-GCMS is the newer format of CAIPS. Most CHCs have converted to it.
-Reg. filing it pls read my thread on CAIPS.
-There's a CIC fees of $5 for it, however the service provider [if u contact one] would charge addnly.
-It takes, usually, 4-6 weeks to come to ur address.

hi

i sent my medicals in october 2011, and then did not hear anything from warsaw visa office till april 2 2012, they requested my ppr. so sometimes it takes long time.. patience is the key word... and good luck.

Dear Qorax,
I have a question regarding Proof of funds upon landing.
If my wife is the main applicant, does the POF bank check has to be in her name upon landing, or it can be in my name as well ?

Thanks again
Guss
