is there any connection between proof of funds available that we put in application,  and the funds that we have to show on airport (Canadian border)??

No, and Yes.
What u 'wrote' in ur apps may or may not be the one/same that u bring-in. But, u definitely need to 'carry' the minimum required funds [as per CIC guideline table].

So that means that i don't have to have the minimum required funds on apps?
And, can i use the same proof of funds on entering in Canada?

That's not correct.
U 'need to' demonstrate the min POF on ur apps. Else, u'd face rejection. However, u may choose to 'show' more... but, while 'landing' u could bring-in 'only' the min POF, not a penny more.

I don't know is it true or not.

I have heard some people tell me that they showed less funds than the required amount at POE

Quite plausible... However, the rules suggest that u should demonstrate ur "complete" POF.

U r required to demonstrate the "complete" POF in Cash, Draft/s &/or TCs in the POE.
If u r unable to do that, for whatever reason/s, carry as much as u can - AND pls take a 'certified' Bank Statement showing the availability of rest, in any currency, wherever in  the world.

Qorax

Thanx for the reply. I dont understand the meaning of "complete" as I am already carrying 11100 dollars, required for single person. Is there any harm in carrying more money in form of draft as compared to cash???afterall its liquid money..

Hi Captain,

I almost pee'd in my pants I saw "In Process" in my status today, though inside no changes. Grin

Sir, My question is: what will i do? I withdraw for other business the money in my other account that i used as proof of fund, I had 2 accounts used for POF that i submitted 2yrs ago. I only have half of the amount needed as of today. Do I have to put it back again in the Bank the second half now that i am "in process"?

thank you Captain ...

As u get the meds ur IO is likely to ask u for fresh POF. Usually they ask for 6-month's bank stats that time.

Hi Dear,

So it means we can take up to as much cash/bank draft/TC's as much easy to carry. and rest can be shown in the form of certified bank statement in our native currency in our native account? will it suffice the purpose and satisfy the IO at the airport? Like for a two membered family 14000 CAD (almost) is required so i can carry upto 7000 CAD (Cash + TC's) and rest in the form of my bank statement (certified) in my country's currency, will it be okay?and acceptable? and more over that bank has no branch in Canada.

There is a maximum amount of cash you can carry without raising any flags upon entry. I guess you can refer to the entry guidelines to Canada.

But from my experience, the bank certification I carried wasn't checked in the Pearson.

There is no limit to carrying any [amount of]monies... we can bring-in as much as we desire to our heart's content [& capability].

You are right. What I meant was there is an amount where you have to explicitly declare.
