I already submitted a bank statement as proof of funds when I submitted full application to CIC-MANILA last March 09. Then another one last June 09 when the office requested for additional documents.
Will CIC request for another updated proof of funds when medicals are requested or when they request for your passpport?

Recession has really affected a lot of people and I am one of them...sometimes there will be instances that money being saved to canada are used during emergencies.

From the posts in this forum, normally the CIC do not ask proof of funds again if not very long time has elapsed before you sent your documents.

But it depends on the visa officer's discretion and it is good to maintain the required balance through out the application period. Anyway you also need to show the proof at the time of landing. Thank you

Hi

My personnel understanding is that till you land you can always expect them to ask for proof of funds. Though they normally dont ask but if possible try to have the funds in a seperate bank and do not use it for any purpose.

Best Wishes
