Dear Friends,
I am Trishna. I am applying under FSW category. I have a question regarding to Proof of Funds.

As it is stated in the checklist column number 14: visit the "proof of funds" section of CIC website at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/skilled/funds.asp

In this website the following clause has been written:

"You will need to provide proof of your funds to the Canadian visa office in your home country when you submit your application for immigration."

Here the home country word has created problem to me.

Currently I am residing in U.K. and I have maintained balance in U.K. for 6 months. but I am applying from India as it is my home country and also because of my U.K. visa validity. (I'll apply in Nov,2011 for visa extension in U.K. for more than a year)

Now according to the above statement do they consider my balance in U.K. Huh

Waiting for your reply please.

Regards
Trishna

Hi Trishna, they are referring to the visa office in your 'home country' not the funds. You can show funds that belong to you irrespective of where in the world it is located. If you are applying from India then you need to provide this statement to the New Delhi visa office with the submission of your application.

We are overseas as well. One account in UK and the other in Middle East...As long as its your (with name and everything matching), it should not be a problem. Make sure to include the Bank's Contacts details and a cover letter with conversion to CAD, showing you have sufficient funds as required by Immigration...(you can use xe.com or something similar).

Thank you friends. As Wenstumped has written, Now I am clear Yes, it is Visa Office in home country not proof of funds.

As per you Devilhimselff I have maintained funds in U.K. and not in India. So I have to submit only U.K. bank statements and cover letter as you've suggested. Do you think I need to put Gold Evaluation which is in India with this ?

Waiting for reply please...
