Can IRA's and 401K values be counted?  Or can you only count cash in your savings?

Retirement savings don't count because they're not liquid.  You'd also take tax and penalty hits to access them, so their present values aren't real.

CIC is looking for cash and other liquid assets.

2 Quick questions,
1.- If I started my application using a proof of funds for savings (witch I thankfully still have), can I enter Canada using proof of employment offer? if so then how would I go about it? (just a thought)

2.- How does the proof of employment work for full families? (since the funds change depending on the number of applicants, I wonder if the job offer needs to reflect some kind of minimum salary)...
