Dear Qorax,
I need your advice on Proof of funds for FSW application (I have 4 members in application); I have sent my application in April 2010 to CHC London with following Proof of funds and I have received my 2 nd AOR on 11 August 2010.
Saving Account balance: 8,600 CAD Term Deposit certificate: 4,900 CAD Shares Statement worth: 5,500 CAD Real estate assets worth: 20,000 CAD
Please review suggests whether the above provided Proof of funds are sufficient for my application? If not please suggest a way forward, should I arrange some more money and send an updated Bank Statements.
Thanks & Regards, Azmat

Dear Experts, I've submitted the bank certificate through a savings account, but problem is the bank account is nil now, because I've invested that money otherwise. Is it a problem?? What type of inquiry the did in this cases?? Pls share ur idea.

Which CHC r u with? Most CHCs don't accept "property" as a POF. As I understand, CHC-ND accepts, provided the said asset is in the PA's name, or of his spouse, or any of their kids. U need to check the VO specific instructions about the subject. Qorax

Hi Azmat, I believe you are a Pakistani citizen and applying in London office. CHC london does not accept the valuation of property or land. I think it will be better if you arrange some money in your account and send them the updated financials as they may reject your application if you are short of funds. Cheers saki

Saki opined correctly. CHC-London doesn't accept property as POF. Qorax

Hi, You need to have the required funds in your account until you get your passports with a visa stamped. Visa officer can ask you again for the 3 or 6 month statement at the time of medicals so keep the minimum funds in the account to be on safe side. Cheers Saki

Dear Qorax, You are very informative. Like many of this forum I also salute you.
As I understand that eCAS shows "In Process" when the standard B/C is going on. am I right? Actually I am a bit worried about my POF. Do I need to freeze the money for the whole time? regards
1. Yes, it means that your b/g checks r ON. 2. No, u don't need to keep your funds locked. U can perform regular transactions. Just remember to maintain around 70% of the required funds in the a/c always. However, as u get to your Meds - it'd be wise to keep the full funds untouched. All the best! Qorax

If your local Visa office is London as you said, the funds mentioned about should be fine. But make sure your read the checklist for visa office and if they require a valuation certificate then make sure you send one
