Proof of Funds on landing if travelling alone

We are a family of four, i intend to go first and settle things in canada and than bring in my family. MY question is do i still need to proof funds for four or i can show for myself only. Secondly can i go myself or its obligatory to travell all of us together as we are all in one application i being the principal applicant.

You can "land" alone. But you need to show the full funds i.e for a family of four.
