Bank statement will not work for POF while landing. You have to carry either cash or demand draft to any Canadian Bank or travellers check (cheque)

If you can access those funds in Canada, it should be fine with IO.

The OP can show a recent printout from his account i.e. within a day or 2 before entry., and it will suffice for proof of funds.

Dear Hunker,

plz tell if i have to carry 1 lac $, what way should i have to adopt ..immigration authority have requested to declare clearly if one carries more than 10,000$ otherwise has to face penalty or prison..
my question is that if i tell them abt my over all funds which i intend to take along with me,would they be going to deduct any tax or require any proof ?
Also if there is another safer way to take this fund along with me without acknowledging to IO  ,plz let me know.

1. There r no taxes/duties/levies on our 'landing funds'.
2. That 'declaration' is a requirement - it doesn't stop us from bringing our funds.
