Hi all,
Can any one help me on proof of funds for Federal Skilled Migration. I wanted to know how many months of balance statement is required and when that should be submitted?
Also how much funds would be rquired for FSW CAT1 for 2 adults and one minor?
My 2nd query is that did anybody claim points for relatives? what documents are acceptable to proof relationship?
Thx!

Depends on your visa office. There's no rule for this. I just got a letter from the bank saying that I have X amount of money on XX/XX/XXXX date and Colombo office accepted it. Pls talk to a person from your country in this forum.

CDN$16,580

Birth certificates (or certified translations) showing how you are related.

There is no hard and fast rule for that, generally 3 months statement and a letter of bank or sometimes either of them will do.

That's around CAD 17000 for family of 3
My 2nd query is that did anybody claim points for relatives? what documents are acceptable to proof relationship?
Your birth certificate plus your relative's certificates to prove the relationship and also their canadian citizenship or permanent residence docs to prove their status in Canada.
Thx!

hi i am applying at buffalo. i have proof of funds for 11k but the prob is that they are asking for last 6 months of statements showing proof at the buffalo office. the question is if i go forward and just send the letter to buffalo and in case they reject the application, would they refund me or they retain the 550 dollars? bit confused here....
