Proof of funds and Assets Requirements

Hello,

I wish to apply for Canadian Immigration through business or investor category. I am a recent US green card holder. Before migrating to the US I transferred majority my liquid funds to my Son's account in US. I understand that we need to show a fairly substantial amount of assets (including liquid assets) in-order to qualify.

I would like to include this as my own funds when I apply for immigration under the business or investor category. Is this possible? If yes, how would I go about doing this?

Also Note: I have a notarized letter from my Son stating that the liquid funds that are in his name originally belong to me and that he will be able to transfer them whenever and however I request them within 2 weeks notice.

Any advice will greatly help.
