Hi Friends

A short info needed: is it necessary to take the whole 1 year expense at a time and show it to the immigration officer at the port of entry in Canada? Or partial amount is ok as we can bring the rest amount gradually later on.  Actually with ATM card its just matter of second to withdraw the dollar in canada. or we need to carry it to show them?

What form of proof they want, it has to be Cash or bank draft? Or we need to carry our sponso'rs bank statement also to show them.

Please share your thoughts and landing experience as a student.

Thanks for kind help.

Hello Oronno, you need not bring full cash for 1 year, to answer your question.

I only brought my bank statement with me everytime I entered thru the port of entry. Immigration officers never asked to see it but I brought the statement with me just to be ready because they can ask for proof at the time you come in.
