so i got a letter from embassy scheduled me from interview, they are asking me to provide  Proof of custody of children from sponsor's previous marriage, my common law partner is married legally but been separated for almost 3 yrs now, the kids costudy was with his ex wife since the kids are below 7 yrs old so automatucally in philippine law the kids costudy will be with the mom unless my partner file a case which he did but he widraw the case and just had an oral agreement with his ex wife, now my problem is what am i gona provide? why does this even matter? the kids are canadian citizen because of there dad, im going nuts wthingking about this, please help me Cry

I believe that you don't have to show the custody papers being ask if you don't have it. Just be ready to explain it clearly and honestly. If your common law partner do not intend to bring his children to Canada then I believe he don't need to show proof of custody.
