can we both sign a statement saying we been living together for 12month and have a lawyer notarize it?

or does it have to be the documents listed on the website? the house we been living in is under a relative and all the bills/utilities are under their name, so cant get any of those, we recently started a joint bank account, but all her mail address for banks/credit card/memberships/school have been changed to my address since day 1 a year ago. Will this be enough?

also when providing statements say credit card statement, does it have to be every month for 12 month? or only one of the recent bills?

Get statements from your neighbors saying that they confirm the fact that you guys have been living together since XXXX+month.

Why can't you marry?

Hi anyone who can help

I am facing the common law application problem, i applied to CIC (NS) without listing my GF who has been living with me for more than 1.5 yrs as common law and now, that i am in the stage 2 (local visa application), someone on this site advised me to list her name as common law. How or what statements do i have to explain to the Local visa application in my application form to say that i did not know what common law means then and now i have included her in the application. Also what proof do we have to produce to show that we are common law spouse, since we have not gotten married and we arent ready yet to do it. Can we submit photos taken like 1.5 yrs or during these 1.5 yrs to prove to submit?

Thanks

Excuse me, but if you are not ready to get married then why would you even want to immigrate with that person to another country?

Hi

Excuse me, but if you are not ready to get married then why would you even want to immigrate with that person to another country?

The poster is in a c/law relationship for more than a year.  Under Canadian law that makes him/her a spouse.  S/he doesn't have any choice but to include a c/law spouse in the application.
