Proof of Citizenship ?

Ok so it says the first part takes 4 months and the second takes 8 months and just to be nice if you apply outside canada then add another 3-4 months.
Well it only took London 2 half weeks to send it to Canada lol so the 3-4 months was 2-3 weeks.
Can people who have done this please give me there time line please.
Its been 8 weeks since it got to canada so im thinking we are half way of the first stage.
Really want things to go quicker as we want to go next summer.

I applied to sponsor my fiancé Sept 2010, his visa was with us in December and we arrived in Edmonton May 17th.
We were very very lucky with our times though, there were others in the September group that were still waiting weeks after us.
