Hi Guys,

I will be submitting the full documents in Jan-2011.

Regarding the date of birth, I have birth certificate in native language which will need translation and attesttation. Another option for me to get the letter from Indian Embassy stating my date of birth as passport.

Cant i show my education certificate which shows date of birth as proof for "Birth Certificate".

Regards
Cool

Well...ideally your birth certificate should be translated in English and notarized as a proof. There off course could be several documents where same date is printed but base document is advised. If u r finding it difficult, i dont' think this would be an issue for CHC if they can find a counter evidence as a proof.

Hi Buddy

Many applicants have submitted their 10th Standard Certificate to show the Date of Birth incase where they didnt have a birth certificate or have lost it. But i have seen some applicants who applied after 26th June and sent their education document as a proof of date of birth but it wasnt accepted by CIC and they returned the documents. So i would suggest if you have a birth certificate then send it dont take a chance by sending education document.

Cheers

Hi,
To prove your date of birth, your birth certificate (English or French translation) is more than enough. you will have an attested copy of your passport too. Why do you need more proofs of your date of birth? Yes, the educational certificates will also serve as a proof of  evidence of your birth date.

Dear All,

Thanks for your advise.

Dear Icecube, I understand your point that date of birth can be verified from Passport itself. But if you note in the application forms , they have asked to attached the birth certficate too.

I have several documents to prove my date of birth. Its them to accept or not. So why to take chance , as my NOC is out of list after 26th June-10.

Hey buddy, Just attach your birth certificate. (Translated and notarized). that is all you need . You do not have to worry about the NOC code. You would not have been requested for the docs if you were not qualified under whatever NOC code you have applied. Just get your supporting docs according to the checklist and submit them rightaway.
Good luck
Ice cube
