Anyone curious as to why CIC has not update the processing time for applicants outside Canada?  Lips sealed Shocked
It would be very interesting to see if the visa offices are processing applications within 6-12 months.
I am also wondering if they are planning any new changes.
Anyone has any comments?

I am also not sure why they have not updated. The best guess I am taking is that there are lots of people who are still under the old rule and are waiting for their application to get processed. So, the CIC wanted to keep the timeline keeping them in mind too. Under the new rule the visa processing is pretty fast. I got my visa in just under 12 months. There are people who have got it flat withing 6 months. Regarding any changes, well we are not sure unless there is any official word about it.

I think they'll probably update the processing time in early March.  According to the CIC website, they need to gather statistics of applications for the past 12 months in order to have a large enough pool.  Since the change was made on Feb. 26, 2009, I would assume the update would happen at least after Feb 26, 2010.
