Hi,

Does anybody know what the processing time for study permit extensions is?

The cic website doesn't differentiate between new applications and extensions -- are they treated the same?

Thanks!

1.  Well in most cases, you can't apply for a study permit in Canada, the processing time is the same as most are extensions.

Hi,

1. You can apply for a study permit extension at 'Case Processing Center, Vegreville, Alberta. (only if you are applying with in last 90 days of your valid study permit.)

2. It could be 60 to 90 days.

Btw, it took pretty much exactly 2 months for the extension to come through.
