no, Rob51. I haven't and that is what makes me a bit worried. I landed on the 1st of December now it's 9th of January and sure 10th is Sunday. So on Monday it will be 40 days of waiting, though they keep saying on-line that the current timeline is 30. what about you? any news about your PR card?

yes, we were told the same, but there are people on the forum who got their PR card in less than 25 days. let's just hope and keep waiting.

I have a question relating to PR card mailing abroad. if someone had had to leave soon after landing and his card was mailed to his relatives, how legal it is to mail it to him to another country? is there any link on cic site related to this issue? thank you in advance.

I'm pretty confident it's legal. I've never heard of any place banning such mailings, except for mailing passports in India, apparently. When you send it by registered mail, there will be no problem.

thank you for your replies, guys, I appreciate them a lot. the matter is that I have a friend who plans landing in a few months, but he cannot stay in Canada to get his PR card. so he wants his relatives to mail it to him. he read somewhere that cic and customs ban this type of mail and now he wants to get the proof that there will be no problem for him to get his card by mail from his relatives. I searched cic site, but didn't find anything related to it at all.
