Thanks!

It was just regular mail that they dropped in the mailbox. No signature or anything; very simple. I got home from work and it was in a regular envelope on the floor (I have a mailslot in my apartment door).

Congratulations! Did you have to go to the local immigration center to pick it up? Just wanted to make sure the page I got at the port of entry was bogus.

If the mail came in your home, did anybody have to sign for the letter and did they check the ID of the person who was signing? Thanks for your time.

Karlshammar,

Thanks for your time and reply. It made me feel better knowing that it is not necessary to go to pick up the PR card. I hope they do not have any problems with our photos, so they send the cards instead of a letter requesting us to show up for photos.

Any time, nix!

I'm sure it's fine. As long as the photos fit the specs they wanted you should be all set.

HI, I landed on Aug 16, i received my card but my husband didn't; we were under the same application... and we have not received any notification of any additional docs needed either. does this happen often? one receives it but not the other... should we contact them to inquire more or keep on waiting?

One family had all their PR cards arrive except the youngest daughters.  It came months later and then with a misspelling in her name.  You can call CIC and ask.  Maybe it was lost in the mail.

I have been informed that PR cards for my wife and 2 kids have arrived in Calgary. I am the only one left in my family now and freaking out if something went wrong.

We landed on Nov 15 and PR cards arrived Dec 14 in Calgary.

just wait a few days more, nix1, just in case it's delayed in mail. and then phone cic and inquire. that's the only possible solution except waiting longer.
good luck!

I called and they told us that my husband´s card hasn´t been issued because they didn´t receive the information (paperwork) from the airport. (??) does this happen often? what does it mean?
The agent said to wait 3 weeks and will be sent by mail... has anyone experienced this. are we really going to receive it in the mail or is just a script and we´ll have to start the process again?

You were right, they just mailed my card a few days after they mailed for the rest of the family. I called them yesterday and found out that my card is on the way (was mailed on Dec 15th).
